Wings of Hope for Companion Animals in Need

Transportation of Pet:

Personalized transportation of your rescue companion animal from the suitable airport closest to your location to the airport nearest your destination.  At refueling stops, your pet is walked,  fed (if needed) and receives water.  Two people with every flight,  warm kennel in the cabin of the plane and ear scratches are provided.

Flight Coordination:

The Flight Coordinator works with the pilots and rescues to insure that all involved receive information both before the transport and during the transport.  A check is made with the receiving rescue, foster or adopter/ owner after the animal is delivered.  Contact also occurs during the next several weeks, following the transport.

Special Instructions:

Flying Paws will do its best to follow any special instructions which are given for the care of the animal in transport.  All transports requiring, medical care will be evaluated on an individual basis.  Flying Paws is not capable of providing in-flight veterinary care.  Animals that are under a veterinarians care will need to be evaluated as to whether the transport can be successfully done.  Contact Flying Paws regarding any medical transports.

Flying Paws Network:

Flying Paws is working with the help of the Rescue Groups to develop a network of planes and pilots who can help with the transport of an animal from coast to coast. Information & application for Volunteer Pilots  The volunteers work with the Rescues to make the transport as animal friendly as possible. Flying Paws will grow if everyone will keep in mind as they hear or work their own networks. Additional volunteer pilots and planes are desperately needed. Help us get the word out. Information on Becoming a Friend. You know people who we do not know.  Please contact them and let them discover if what Flying Paws is doing is something they want to help with.  We are  a non profit corporation (501(c)3).  Check with your CPA to ensure that any flight you provide can be taken off of your taxes as a donation.         Note that a number of requests have come in for transport that Flying Paws are unable to fill at this time.  This need will be met as new pilots and planes are located.  You can help with the need by keeping your ears tuned to locating pilots who are also animal lovers.  As we grow with a network.... so will our region of service.  Contact us.
